Pecah panggung

Khamis lepas opening day Lagenda Budak Setan. Jadi berkumpul lah kami kawan-kawan sekolah dari kelas berbeza dan geng-geng berlainan di Mid Valley untuk menonton the most anticipated Malays movie this summer. Since it was the opening day it was pretty weird that we all paid RM7 for our ticket. But let's not push our luck eh? Im going to switch to Malay for the movie review. First, a little intro to the girls.

Salmi, Aqilah,Kasturi,Alya,Jaja,Ate

I went to school with all 6 of the girls and have had each of them as my classmate at different grade. But for some, they have not exchange much apart from Hi and Bye. So this was the most random outing we've had yet. Random people jumbled together. I even named the album on FB, Oddball.

Lagenda Budak Setan. I rasa thankful I tak baca buku sebelum tengok movie. Pernah tak rasa kenyang tapi tak puas? Haaa macamtu lah. Movie tu boleh diterima, entertaining, tapi tak puas. 3 buku sumbat dalam movie 2 jam, memang tak cukup. Rasa sesak. Scenes lompat-lompat macam nak cepat. And I tak nangis pun. I teringin nak nangis okay!

I rasa tak puas sebab character tak diberi ruang untuk berkembang, airtime pun tak cukup. Macam character Nubhan, he got something goin on there tapi terlalu sekejap. Lisa Surihani's Ayu pun tak puas nak kenal. Que Haidar terlalu sekejap tapi berkesan. Yang banyak keluar tapi tak berapa perlu is Raja Farah. Amylea tak cukup cantik. Bukankah patut diberikan pada orang yang cantik setanding Ayu kalau tak boleh melebihi? I'm superficial so sue me.

Salmi complain sikit sebab banyak close up shot. I don't have any problem with that. And I love the choice of scenery. Cantik sangat! Macam kena tanya, ni Malaysia ke? Cinematography and art direction was good. Props and costume details...OUT!

Okay, just to be fair, takdelah teruk sangat. Tapi I sangat tak berpuas hati that I see 2009 on Kasyah's calender, Ayu's wedding card and the magazine Kasyah gave Ayu. I point it out on LBS Facebook page. To which the reply I get was 'to bring 1985 was difficult'

Tuan produser, sila ambil perhatian terhadap crew anda yang memberi jawapan tersebut. 1985 susah? Habis orang yang buat 1957 Hati Malaya, Embun, Paloh, Leftenan Adnan, Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam, Puteri Gunung Ledang, wah mereka tu mesti azab kan?

Tak susah pun sebab detail kecik je. Tapi detail kecik tu yang merosakkan perjalanan cerita. Kalender takat sekeping, print ajalah. Kad and magazine, itu pun printed items. Boleh sangat keluarkan sikit duit dari budget. Lagi satu, kenapa Raja Farah ada laptop warna merah? 1985 kot!

I tak puas. They should have it made into a few movies. Memanglah ada Lagenda Budak Setan the series dalam pembikinan, tapi tak best lah. Kenapa sekarang semua production buat trend release movie and series? Tak best. Approach I'm Not Single tu boleh terima. Release movie then after a few years baru ada series yang menyambung movie. Nur Kasih pun, ada series then buat movie sebab sambutn sangat menggalakkan. I bias sikit tapi that one should be good.

Anyways, Sharad Sharan congratulations for making LBS real to the audience, thank you for beautiful scenes, and all the best for the movie's review and collection. Dah dapat kutipan tertinggi opening day kan? Semoga box office pula. We await Katerina, please don't overlook details and please give us lots of Fazura in the movie. Jangan terlalu sikit sampai tak sempat mengenali dia macam kes Ayu.
