After 2 months of hiatus from attending weddings every weekend (yes, I attend weddings every weekend - that's my favourite past time. And because in Islam its our kewajipan to another Muslim. I'll list it down below), I was super excited to attend a White Wedding in Teratak Murni!

Achik Kerry got married (ehem!) to his wife Kak Ammilia on Saturday the 8th of April. And because this is not the first marriage for the pair, they decided to have small, simple, sempoi minum petang (tea time reception) the next day on the 9th.

Though I was informed that there's not much to be done since its not exactly a reception, I did come back a day earlier. Hey, it's a wedding - of course there's something to be done. And being a close knit family like we are - too many surprises!

  • Toto & Neni prepared 100pcs doorgift for the guests. I bought Ferrero Rocher in Langkawi as requested by Toto and simply passed it to Achik in Langkawi for him to bring back to KL . (The groom didn't even know it was meant for his wedding)
  • Ya & Ayaq bought 2 cakes for the occasion and Kak Aisha also bought one, we only found out about all these cakes through WhatsApp conversation when the groom requested for an anniversary cake for Toto & Neni and a joined birthday cake for April babies.
  • Tantiey & Along decided to decorate the wakaf and arch for photo taking purposes, and Tantiey being the super crafty person that she is - even created pinata filled with chocs for the kids.
  • There was a lottttt of plastic and tissue flowers required for the deco and I am not at all a DIY person - but I helped.
The morning of the wedding, we were all still preparing for the makan-makan later and did not change until 30minutes before the event. But my my my, it was soooooo lovely seeing all of us in white and light tones - a merry gathering in the rain.

YES, it poured! But didn't stop anybody from enjoying the time. I loveeee family time.

To Achik, may this marriage last until the end of time. You already know how I feel about you finally having a family of your own. Indescribable feeling. What more you, who's been wanting it for so long.

Kak Ammilia and sons - Azriff & Ayden, welcome to the family! You guys complete Achik. I am happy for you as much as I am for him. Good luck raising 3 boys Kak Amy!

Footnote: as mentioned earlier, here's the list of  duties/obligations of one Muslim to another
  1. To give and receive the greeting of peace - Assalammualaikum
  2. To respond to invitations - thus the reason I am always attending weddings
  3. To advise when asked - give beneficial opinion, one you would like to hear yourself
  4. to pray for well-being of one who sneezed - you've heard before when someone says Bless You. Same concept.
  5. To visit one who is ailing - the best of the righteous deeds, to ease their worries.
  6. To attend his/her funeral - it is obligatory.

Salam Aidilfitri!

Not too late I hope. Been away for too long. Had no time for myself, what more to write for leisure.
How was your Eid? Great I hope!

Mine was good. Can be better. Unlike our usual ABCB raya in Pekan, this year we had to shift the venue to Kuantan since there's a water shortage in the area.

Was not really looking forward to it as I was so sure that things would be different. It was. The raya feel was lesser.

Oh well, main thing is we all managed to be with each other.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri evrybadeh! Mohon dimaafkan semua kesalahan yang disedari juga yang tidak. Last Ramadhan, I've initiated to be the better version of myself and not be angry all the time. InsyaAllah, semoga this change will continue and I'm able to get the result I seek.

Assalammualaikum.

In the real world, I semakin jarang hang out with friends. I usually go out with my cousins (since everyone live 10 minutes away from each other) or my colleagues (macam tak cukup jumpa kat office kan?). Bukan mengelak, simply because I don't have enough time and these people are those within reach.

Also because, I usually don't want to go outside of my own area. Same for my colleagues and cousins. Lagi pula I've been working for an exhausting exhibition. Balik dah lewat, penat tapi lapar - nak makan tapi taknak berat, nak dekat2. This define the exact situation I was in 7 weeks ago.

I left the office quite late, 9 something I think. Called up my cousins from next door. Ajak teman makan. So when I got home, picked them up, fikir nak makan apa, make our way to the place - kedai pun tutup. We first went to Cafe Lapis and Pop's in Wangsa Maju - only to arrive at exactly the time they are closing. By that time it was already 11.

Ya (bless her soul) came up with a brilliant suggestion. "Nak tak try my friend's food truck kat Wangsa Melawati? Dia bukak malam-malam." So off we go to our discovery of our favourite new eatery (and ermm my obssession?) - The Boys Food!

Day 1 - sampai, duduk, order, makan beria-ria sebab lapar gila. I ordered the steak cheese sandwich by recommendation of the cook. The first bite was soooooo good! I was torn in between saying SO GOOD and stuffing my face with the sandwich. Its a very simple meal really. But we had good amount of tender beef, oozing cheese sauce, with caramelized onion on soft steamed bun. All that for RM5 per portion. Pinat and Syaniz had fettucine alfredo while Ya had the cheeseburger. Super nice supper for all of us.

Next day, we came again. This time with Ayaq since he's heard the food was good. All 5 of us ordered steak cheese sandwich (first round) and various orders for the second round. Lebih meriah kan? That was the last time we managed to get seats easily after 10pm.

I was contemplating if I should be further promoting this place, now a days we need to be there before the truck arrives in order to get our food fast. The que is loooooong and people actually stay and repeat their order. It's good to see that business is blooming for them but I need to rent a table for myself. Haha!

Or do as what Ya and Ayaq did, bring their own table! (And they say I was embarrassing when I had the umbrella opened to shed us. Chaitt!)

I have taken friends and family here because Im still in this hype for their food (mungkin juga ada sedikit ulterior motive). I've been there numerous times sampai the guy knows my name already. Datang ramai mana, sesapa pun yang order, he'll call out my name. Ecehh regular customer.

But main reason I'll still return is because everything is just so simple and easy. Simple set-up, simple food, easy for me to come, easy to get people to gather there, easy on the eyes, simply senang dan menyenangkan. Here's a picture of the truck and their social media details for you to find out more about them.

Footnote: now that I've changed the post title so that people get to search about them why not I give more details too.

Their instagram: @theboysfood and #theboysfood

The location: Food Truck Park, behind BHP gas station, Taman Melawati.

I was informed they just opened another truck in Nilai. I'm not sure of exact location.
Check their instagram for location updates.

Opening hours: 8.30pm to 12am

They close Sunday nights. Happy eating!

Of late I realised I prefer to be a bit more reclusive than the extrovert that I am. Dah penat being surrounded by stupid people who talk without thinking. I am temperamental, I am easily angered. Jadi sebelum I accidentally on purpose shoot down tell off orang tak pasal-pasal, I'll just shut myself out.

Keep negativities out and just be happy within my circle. That does not mean I don't owe people apologies. To all that I have hurt and wronged unintentionally, forgive me. And for those that took offence from what I said and did, my sincere apologies.

Lets start over and just spread love.
Dunia tak lama dah. Masa tak panjang nak breed hatred and then try to make amends. Maka lebih eloklah kita tak sediakan ruang untuk perasaan tak best. Kalau wujud jugak, maybe you should just leave the person. Seriously.

Forgive, be forgiven and stay away.

Enough about that! Marilah kita menikmati keriuhan dan kekecohan ABCB di White House, Pekan, Pahang. (And also my shameless promotion through ootd shots)

Ever since I started working, gone are the time I spent on Twitter, Running Man and blog hopping. On most days I go to work at 7.30 and leave well after 5.30. Some days I feel so demotivated I dont want to come back, but also on the same day, something nice happens and I see myself returning there. Its my second month already. Can you believe it?! Im giving this place a chance for a bit more. You know office politics are everywhere so I just dismiss that. People here are nice and friendly. And one particular person is so highly motivated that Im partly scared and partly admiring his qualities. Okay enough. Lets share some raya pictures!

This year is the turn to celebrate in White House, Pekan, Pahang. 80 plus family members all bundled in one house! Havoc! As always, the morning of Eid will be a problematic day for all of us. There's not enough water for everyone to bathe. So this year my uncles installed a new pumping system. Everything was fine and dandy.....until the very morning itself. Alas! Still no water! So all the males in the family went to the mosque to shower and even there they had to compete with each other so that they can get ready early for Eid prayers.

All is good this year. I managed to give all my cousins duit raya. First salary for the family! InsyaAllah in future I can give more to more people.
'

By the way, I still receive duit raya! Heh heh heh. Pictures below are from the many open houses and gathering I attended.

Oooops! The last picture is for another post ;)
